Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have to be Catholic to attend St. Joseph Academy?

St. Joseph Academy considers itself part of the New Evangelization, and welcomes families of all faith backgrounds. We have an open admission policy; students will experience an authentic Catholic faith formation consisting of theology lessons, weekly Mass, access to Reconciliation, and daily prayer and other devotions,

Will St. Joseph Academy provide extra-curriculars?

In this first year, we aim to provide music, dramatic arts, and gym classes. This plan will depend on our location. The board intends to foster sports teams that can compete in the private sector as soon as possible; athletics are a priority.

Where is St. Joseph Academy located?

Our school will be located in North-end St. Catharines, but we cannot sign a lease until we have committed families. In April of 2025, the board will reassess our budget based on enrollment, and this will determine the facility we can afford.

We do have a property currently on the market in mind that would be exceptionally suitable for our purposes. Ideally, it is bought and we can rent from the buyer, but we are also open to taking out a mortgage from a private lender to make this dream a reality. If you or anyone you know is interested in learning more about this property, please contact us.
